I know the X10 has a one way on the centre shaft, but after speaking to a few people, it has been suggested that a one-way diff may be of benefit to the car.
Personally, I don't know, but if a one way diff was made would it be useful? Would you buy one? Shall we get some made?

All this one way business is a mystery to me - what will a one way diff do that a one way driveshaft doesn't? And more importantly, what difference do they make on the track anyway? Can someone tell me 'if the track is like this, then run the one way like this..etc etc?' if you get what I'm saying!

The one way from the pro4 is a direct fit if you use p8 front drive shafts, i have 2 of these at home if someone wants to try it out just sort me out with postage.
What i will say though is my racing buddy runs the Lazer and although he has run with front oneway and locked shaft he found that a one way layshaft was a lot less agressive.
Don't know anyone that has run one way layshaft with a one way diff in any car outside of saloon. but when you run this combination in touring car it only works on sweeping outdoor tracks and is very unstable when someone 'rubs' when trying to overtake.
correction its a direct fit if you use the outdrives from the cyclone oneway with the pro4 one way as the out drive cups are longer

Why the need for the P8 drive shafts? I thought they were the same.

I'll tell you where it is used in an off road car, actually it still is being used, on the BJ4. In the states they have those long sweeping "turns", as they like to call them, where the one way is put to good use. however it's not for every one, as I found out on my own BJ4 (B4 the X10 arrived) and not for tight technical tracks either. I can say with a great amount of certainty that I will not be buying a front one way diff if ever it comes on the market. In any case this car has plenty of "on power" steering for me (3 o-rings on the collar) , that's what the one way effect is all about.

I'd love for one to come out. I'm in the US and yes their used here alot. I have one on one of my BJ4we and a reg. diff. on the other. I prefer the one-way. I run on a tight track and to me it has it's benifits and draw backs. I'd buy the one-way diff and put one in one of my X10's and leave my other X10 regular.

Cool, I'll volunteer for that!
Have you actually designed it yet though? I might be able to give you some good input on it.....

I'll test the one-way .... It would be nice to test with a one-way in a car with the center or direct shaft... I'll order the XRS direct shaft kit to try in my one X10 with a one-way and run the center and diff. one-way in my other car..... that would be a good test for whomever test it out.... One tip might be to make the drive shaft's with bigger pin's I think the stock one's might bend more easely...... under jumping the front free-wheels a bit more and under landing the shock of the impact as the one-way locks back up might cause the pin's to bend or twist....
